Joyce Meyer: Characteristics of Humility

[Matthew 11:28-29]

Humility: Freedom from pride and arrogance; a modest estimation of your own worth.
Anything you can do is a gift from God; therefore, the more talented you are the more humble you should be.
You should be amazed by how God created you.
Pride: An inordinate measure of self-esteem. An unreasonable conceit of ones own superiority in talents, beauty, wealth, accomplishment, rank or elevation in office, which manifests itself in lofty airs, distancing ourselves from others and often being contemptuous of others. it causes insolent and rude treatment of others while it causes an elevation and lifting up of ourselves.
Two biggest problems of pride:
1) We think we don't need God
2) We think we can mistreat other people
How we treat people is very personal to God.
Humility always comes before honor and promotion.
When God puts you He keeps you.
Pride goes before destruction.
Only few people can handle promotions they get.
If you want to be in ministry you don't have to be in platform.
Praise the Lord anywhere.
Whatever it is you want from God you need to be humble.
And after you get anything from God you have to be more humble and be amazed that Gos is using you.

[1Tim 3:6]

When you are wrong admit that you are wrong.
Lead people with humility. Be careful with bragging and boasting.
Judgment, complaining comes from pride.
What others do is none of your business unless they ask for your opinion.

[1Samuel 15:17]

It's impossible to be a humble man without having humble mind.
When God promotes you, you should be thankful by getting what you do not deserve.

[Daniel 4:2~]

God will give you more if you know how to handle what you have.
I'm nothing in myself but everything in God

[Philippians 3:3]

Humble have no problem of asking for help from God or from people.
Let people do things their way.

[John 15:5]
